Furuborginkatu 6
2020 –
Furuborginkatu 6 housing block is located next to the protected and cultural-historically significant Hotel Rantapuisto. The new housing block is integrated into the low-rise area by dividing the buildings into smaller volumes and carefully choosing materials that fit the surroundings.
The block consists of three 3-5 story buildings and an underground parking deck which allows for a freer use of the yard area and creates a south facing garden. The compact buildings are carefully placed on the plot to maximize south facing views from each building.
We designed the reference plan for updating the local plan and zoning, as well as the construction documentation for realization. First phase of the block was finished in 2024.
